Detectortesters are delighted to have won "Fire SafetyInnovation of the Year" at the Fire Safety Matters Awards!
The award is in recognition of XTR2, the company’s exciting new test solution which launched at last year’s Firex International and is now in use across the UK and Europe. XTR2 is unlike any previous tester the company have launched, working alongside the DT Connect app and web portal, it combines functional testing with live reporting to support the increasing demand, from both service companies and building owners, to demonstrate compliance.
With the relevant smoke or heat programme selected, XTR2uses the detector LEDs to confirm the test result. This result is communicated via Bluetooth to the DT Connect app which is used to setup and manage the site visit, upon completion of the visit all results are pulled together to create a site-specific test report which can then be shared with the building owner, providing confirmation of the work carried out and highlighting any detectors which require attention.
Since the launch of XTR2, the new solution has received great feedback, some of which is already being used to introduce new features and functionality. Detectortesters will be showing casing these updates at upcoming exhibitions and sharing more information across social channels and websites in the coming weeks.
The ‘Fire Safety Innovation of the Year’ category was extremely competitive, with strong entries from another eleven companies which made winning the award even more special.
