At the 2025 NFPA Expo, SDi unveiled new DT Connect features — including CSV asset upload, extended site asset lists, test - from - saved - site, and asset filtering — designed to streamline inspections and improve workflow efficiency.

At the 2025 NFPA Conference & Expo in Las Vegas, held from June 16–18, SDi highlighted major updates to DT Connect, our cloud - based platform that integrates seamlessly with the XTR2 smoke and heat detector tester. While the XTR2 continues to play a vital role in modern fire system testing, this year’s spotlight was on how DT Connect is reshaping workflows with smarter, more streamlined features.

The latest DT Connect upgrades are designed to further streamline inspection processes, improve accuracy, and reduce manual input for fire safety professionals. The enhancements empower users to efficiently manage assets, execute tests, and generate real-time reports with greater ease than ever before.

New DT Connect features unveiled at the show include

  • CSV Asset Upload: Effortlessly import large asset lists using a simple CSV template
  • Extended Site Asset List: Securely store and maintain site-specific asset data in the DT Connect web portal
  • Test Existing Site: Generate inspections based on previously saved site data without needing to re-enter assets
  • Asset Filter: Quickly sort assets by type, zone, or loop to streamline navigation.

These updates allow for automated PDF report generation in real time, reducing paperwork and improving reporting accuracy. By minimizing manual steps, DT Connect supports faster, more organized inspections and enhanced compliance documentation.

In addition to these DT Connect advancements, SDi also offered a sneak peek at XTR Pulse, an upcoming solution in the XTR Series. Setto complement current test tools, XTR Pulse will enable live inspection reporting with real-time data insights. While full details are still to come, this tool will further empower technicians in the field with faster, more dynamic reporting capabilities.

Another major highlight at the conference was the announcement that SDi is now part of the Noventis Safety group, a collective of safety companies dedicated to providing comprehensive solutions for fire detection and suppression. The group, which currently includes SDi and DetectorTesters for detection and alarm testing, and Hose Monster and Global VisionInc. for suppression, represents a unified approach to safety that brings together cutting-edge technologies across the safety industry. To showcase this new partnership, SDi shared a joint booth with Hose Monster that also featured Global Vision Inc and allowed all companies to present their range of testing solutions.

The 2025 NFPA Conference marked a key occasion for SDi, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to product innovation, improved workflows, and stronger industry partnerships. As we continue to advance our testing solutions, SDi remains dedicated to providing fire safety professionals with the tools they need to enhance safety, streamline operations, and stay compliant.
