This year’s Firex International was a hugely significant show for the DT team as the company officially introduced its new connected test solution, XTR2, to the global fire market.
The first of several planned connected solutions, XTR2 not only offers functional testing of smoke and heat detectors – it also delivers on reporting, with the result of each detector tested automatically recorded and presented in a report at the end of the test job.
Delivering benefits to engineers, service managers and building owners, XTR2 proved a real hit at the show with high visitor numbers across the three days keeping the team busy with plenty of demonstrations and Q and A sessions.
Ahead of availability later this year, Detectortesters, along with partners SDi, will be taking XTR2 on the road with further presentations planned at Feuer Trutz in Nuremberg and the NFPA Conference andExpo in Las Vegas. In addition to this there will also be introductions at FSM Live in Coventry and FIMExpo in Nottingham.
Later in the Summer a programme of webinars will start as the product continues to be introduced to the global fire audience. Further information will continue to be added to the Detectortesters website as new features are announced. In the meantime, interested parties can express interest in becoming a BETA partner, request a demo and register for updates via the Detectortesters website where you can also view the promotional video and check out all the information available so far.
“Thank you to everyone who visited us at Firex and made the launch a success. XTR2 is a solution we’re extremely excited to introduce and we look forward to sharing more information in the coming weeks and months.”
